This is the first and only standard dictionary of current terminology – more than 6000 terms and 240 accompanying illustrations – for photonics, optics, lasers, imaging, fiber optics, electro-optics and photonic component manufacturing.
This online dictionary is divided up into two major sections, (1) acronyms/abbreviations and (2) the dictionary.
The acronyms/abbreviations section allows the user easy look up of popular acronyms. For example, many people know what WDM is (wavelength division multiplexing), but what about TDM? Point and click with your computer mouse, and come up with the definition of the acronyms in question.
