50 Ω Impedance |
BNC input and output connections provide easy interface to detectors and data collection and display electronics. The 50 Ω input impedance of the amplifiers is designed to match the impedance of the BNC cables. This prevents the formation of electronic echoes due to reflections at impedance-mismatched interfaces. These echoes show up as additional features with delays of approximately 3 ns per foot of cable length. |
External Power Source Needed |
The 70721 Amplifier requires a source of +15 VDC power and the 70723 Amplifier must be powered by an external ±12 V supply. Our 70703 Lab Power Supply was designed for this purpose. Or, you can use any low noise, linear, laboratory power supply. |
