The Newport model 6651X series of LED Sources are designed to provide either narrow or broadband radiation via an optimized coupling to an 8 mm Liquid Light Guide (LLG). These sources provide economical alternatives to diode lasers and QTH lamp-based systems. A manual shutter with an integrated filter holder is available as an option for the end of the LLG. The intensity can be varied via the front panel potentiometer and an external trigger can be applied to modulate the source on and off. Additionally, the LED’s have an average lifetime in excess of 40,000 hours of continuous operation. We offer models covering the 395 nm to 800 nm spectral range with bandwidths of ~ 22 nm, or a broadband VIS model. For other output options, please contact a Newport Sales Engineer.
