Newport is a leader in optical detector technology. We offer a broad selection of optical detectors meeting the most demanding customer requirements: photodiode detectors, thermopiles, pyroelectric detectors, and integrating spheres. The photodiode optical detectors (see Low-Power Photodetectors, 918D Series) utilize high performance silicon, UV-enhanced silicon, germanium, and indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) photodetectors, in the low-noise photovoltaic mode. With the thermal detectors (see Thermopile Detectors, High Power 818P Series), one can measure all the way down to 1 uW optical power to hundreds of watts of average power, with broad wavelength ranges between ultraviolet to far infrared. Pyroelectric sensors (see Pyroelectric Detectors, Energy 818E Series) are used to measure pulse energy from pulsed optical sources. In addition, Newport offers an extensive line of integrating sphere systems (see Integrating Sphere) for high power laser and diffuse light power measurement, for either collimated or divergent beam sources. Newport maintains an advanced optical detector calibration facility to meet all of your National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) traceability needs. Our comprehensive testing and direct traceability gives you the highest-accuracy calibrations with results you can trust via recalibration services. |
