Spirit High Rep Rate Ultrafast Amplifiers Introduced January 18th 2012

Spectra-Physics^®, a Newport Corporation brand, introduces Spirit™, a compact industrial-grade ultrafast amplifier with software-adjustable repetition rates up to 1MHz. Developed at High Q Laser (recently acquired by Newport), the Spirit laser extends Spectra-Physics’ ultrafast amplifier portfolio to high-repetition rates needed for micromachining of medical devices and other materials, nanostructuring, pump-probe experiments, and selected time-resolved science applications.

Newport's SCG-02 Wavelength Extender is a modular solution designed specifically for the generation of supercontinuum with a femtosecond Ti:Sapphire laser such as the Tsunami^® or MaiTai^® ultrafast oscillator.

Optical Power Meter, 1830-R Introduced October 26th, 2011

The all new Model 1830-R Optical Power Meter is a completely redesigned optical meter, replicating much of the functionalities and specifications of the legacy 1830-C Model. The 1830-R is a perfect drop-in replacement for your existing 1830-C, which was also the most popular Newport meter used in fiber optic component production and testing.

Standard Vacuum Stages Introduced October 4th, 2011

Newport has expanded standard product offerings for use in vacuum 10-6 hPa (7.510-7 Torr) and Ultra-High Vacuum 1.310-8 hPa (10-9 Torr). These vacuum compatible stages, actuators and optical mounts have received special surface treatment, vacuum compatible lubrication, and have been tested for performance in vacuum to guaranteed specifications.

High-Performance Long-Travel Linear Motor Stages Introduced September 1st, 2011

The IMS-LM series linear motor stages are designed for self-supporting applications with travel ranges from 300 mm to 1200 mm. The stages feature a robust design with high performance but with low cost, making them cost-effective solutions for precision industrial applications such as semiconductor wafer inspection, micro-electronics test and assembly, pick and place, DNA sequencing, or laser machining.

Laser Alignment Tuning Kits, LAKIT Series Introduced August 16th, 2011

Newport’s new laser power alignment kits are an ideal tool for aligning various types of lasers in a research setup. The kits include the all new 1917-R laser power meter and a broad choice of optical detectors to deal with a variety of laser types. The kits also include the mounting accessories as well, thus simplifying product selection and ordering.

Based on patented technology, the new InSight DeepSee delivers nearly double the tuning range of existing ultrafast lasers and provides seamless access to long infrared wavelengths for deepest in vivo imaging.

Wavelength Extension Unit Introduced May 19th, 2011

Newport’s new wavelength extension unit is a pre-aligned turn key solution for various spectroscopy and microscopy applications. This device can be easily integrated with ultrafast light sources to perform CARS spectroscopy and CARS microscopy. It can also be integrated with two-photon microscopes to add CARS modality to enhance the imaging capabilities of microscopes.

Variable Attenuators Introduced May 18th, 2011

Newport's variable attenuators are composed of specially designed thin film polarizers, zero order achromatic waveplates and high-precision opto-mechanics, all incorporated into sealed, shuttered housings. The design is compact, robust and easy to use. Ideal for attenuating ultrafast amplified pulses.

Compact Absolute Positioning Mirror Mount Introduced April 13th, 2011

The CONEX-AG-M100D is a piezo motor actuated absolute positioning mirror mount with a dedicated closed-loop controller/driver. For out-of-the box control, the CONEX-AGAP controller is preconfigured and delivered with an Agilis AG-M100D mirror mount with a built-in, 2 axis, absolute, angular position sensor.

VIBe™ Mechanical Vibration Isolators Introduced March 3rd, 2011

The New VIBe vibration isolation baseplates are compact, effective and easy-to-use platforms that significantly reduces vibrations from disturbing sensitive instruments such as microscopes, inspection or analysis equipment. All VIBe units feature a black powder-coated steel plate and patented mechanical IB series isolators that provide both vertical and horizontal vibration isolation, there are no air lines, compressors or other accessories needed to provide effective isolation performance.

Oriel Sol3A Class AAA Solar Simulators Introduced February 28th, 2011

Oriel Sol3A Solar Simulators are certified to IEC 60904-9 Edition 2 (2007), JIS C 8912, and ASTM E927-5 standards for Spectral Match, Non-Uniformity of Irradiance, and Temporal Instability of Irradiance. By convention, Class AAA is reported with the first letter representing Spectral performance, the second letter Uniformity of Irradiance, and the third letter Temporal Stability. The Oriel SOL 3A solar simulators all use a single lamp design to meet not one or two, but all three performance criteria without compromising the 1 Sun output power.
