We offer several mounts to hold the . There are two types of mounts:
77612 Rod Mount
Fixed and Adjustable Flange Mounts
Rod Mount
The 77612 is a simple rod mounted holder. Simply slide the beam probe into the best position and secure it with a set screw. It accepts any optical rod with 1/4-20 thread. An optical rod is not included.
Flange Mounts for Beam Probes
These holders have a 16 mm opening on one end to accept a beam probe and a 1.5 Inch Series female or male-flange on the other. They mate beam probes to Oriel® 1.5 Inch Series components or instruments. They are useful for holding a focusing beam probe at the entrance of a monochromator. We offer two types: fixed (non adjustable) and adjustable mounts.
Fixed Flange Mounts
The 77873 and 77803 let you slide the probe axially and secure it in position with set screws; they do not have adjustment capability.
Adjustable Flange Mounts
The 77818 has X and Y adjustment. It is made up of two plates held together with screws and flat washers. One plate fits to a 1.5 Inch Series female component; the other holds the Beam Probe. By loosening the screws you can move the Beam Probe 0.063 inch (1.6 mm) in the X and Y directions. You also have some Z adjustment before securing the beam probe in place.
The 77801 has angular adjustment. You can adjust the angle through 1.6° in two orthogonal planes perpendicular to the optical axis. You can position the probe along the optical axis over 0.25 inch (6.3 mm). The 77801 has a 1.5 Inch Series male-flange.
Collimating Beam Probe Connector
This connector is an aluminum cylinder with set screws. It joins two Collimating Probes for Liquid Light Guides to transfer energy from one bundle to another. Loss of energy occurs due to reflection losses at the bundle face and lens surfaces. Loss also occurs due to minor misalignment. We do not recommend this device for bundles with diameters less than 0.08 inch (2 mm).
