1.
The C-Drive is a series of versatile, distributed, general-purpose amplifiers optimized to drive Newports motorized stages and actuators. The C-Drive allows operation of Newports positioning products from a variety of widely used motion controllers including those of Delta-Tau and MEI, and Newports own high performance PCI card controller ESP6000. The compact, industrial, robust, stand-alone package of the C-Drive can be easily integrated into custom machines. For added convenience and fast prototyping, Newport also offers a full set of complementary accessories like cables, power supplies, and a cable break-out-box for easy interfacing with the ESP6000 motion controller.
2. 561/562 Series ULTRAlign™ Precision Fiber Optic Positioning System
Designed specifically for single-mode fiber positioning, Newports ULTRAlign Series combines pinpoint positioning precision with drift-free stability. All stainless steel construction provides very high rigidity and excellent long-term stability, while rigid crossed roller bearings give you sub-micron positioning accuracy.
3. High-Energy Variable Attenuators
Three aperture sizes of the 935 variable attenuators are available3, 5, and 10 mm diameter. These attenuators are based on the principle of Fresnel reflection from four uncoated, counter-rotating UV fused silica wedged plates.
4. motorized Positioning Section Text
For more than 30 years the Newport name has been synonymous with precision positioning system solutions. Newport has built thousands of precision motion systems for hundreds of applications. In this section you will find motorized linear and rotation stages, motorized actuators, controllers and drivers and motion systems that meet or exceed the most challenging requirements.Newport also offers a wide range of custom engineered systems all tailor made to your specific application. 5. UMR Series Precision Double-Row Ball Bearing Linear Stages
UMR Series Precision Double-Row Ball Bearing Linear Stages feature steel construction for high stability and rigidity. The ball bearings and precision-ground bearing surfaces provide exceptional linear travel, with angular deviation better than 100-200 mrad. UMR3, UMR5, and URM8 Series Stages have double-row ball bearings making them an excellent choice for carrying high loads. UMR12 Series Stages contain a single row of ball bearings. In all UMR stages, the moving carriage is preloaded by two springs to ensure constant micrometer contact for smooth, backlash-free motion. Multiple drive options cover the range of precision positioning. Standard BM Series Micrometers provide 1 mm sensitivity, while DM Series Differential Micrometers offer 0.1 mm. For coarse motion with position locking, a fixed positioning kit replaces the micrometer with two opposing adjustment screws and lock nuts. An optional carriage locking kit includes a screw that mounts in the stage body opposite the micrometer. motorized actuators can be added for precision motion control. Two stages can be easily stacked in an XY configuration and mounted to a table or breadboard (M-PBN mounting base required, except UMR8 and UMR12 Series). Multi-axis stage configurations are easily assembled using EQ Series angle brackets. UMR stages are compatible with UTR and URM Rotation Stages, BGM Goniometers, and SL Series Mirror Mounts.
6. CMA Series Compact motorized actuators
CMA Series actuators provide reliable motorized motion in a lightweight and very compact package. The CMA incorporates an excellent space saving design (only 19.7 mm height x 15.2 mm width) that allows it to be used with a wide variety of linear stages, mirror mounts, and OEM applications. The CMA is designed to fit your existing manual stages and other opto-mechanical components as a direct replacement for manual micrometers.

9. NewStep Series Miniature motorized actuators
Newports NewStep miniature motorized actuators are an economical solution for motorizing mirror mounts, rotation stages, linear stages and other manual motion devices. They are ideal for remote adjustment of sensitive, hard-to-reach optical components which can be influenced by the compressive and torsional forces imposed by traditional manual adjustment micrometers. Typical applications include optimizing the alignment of a laser cavity, zeroing in on coherence lengths or just adjusting the pointing of a beam over a long distance. Vacuum compatible versions to 10-6 hPa are available. Applications can also be automated using LabView or other software by sending basic commands to the NSC200 NewStep controller through the integrated RS485 port.
Founded in 1969, Newport is a pioneering single-source solutions provider of laser and photonics components to the leaders in scientific research, life and health sciences, microelectronics, industrial manufacturing, and homeland security markets.
