The Miniature Optical Rail and Carrier components can be assembled into compact, low profile systems that provides a modular in-line foundation and three-dimensional structures for a variety of optical assemblies. Their precision dovetail construction allows components to be quickly attached, aligned, and rigidly held anywhere along the rail using MC Series rail carriers.
The Miniature Rails, which are available in six different standard lengths from 1.524 in. (37600 mm), provide smooth carrier translation and wobble free clamp down. With the SS-2 Spacer Set, sturdy three-dimensional structures, such as beam steering devices, can be assembled. The set has 5 spacers.
The Mini Rail Carriers attach anywhere along the rails to quickly and securely tie down optical components. Spring-loaded hard polymer guides along the mating surfaces of the carriers ensure wobble free sliding motion and dependable linear alignment. By backing out the clamping screw, any carrier can be positioned along a rail without removing other components with a simple snap down motion. Then just tighten the screw fully for creep free clamp down. These one-piece aluminum carriers present a low profile and allow close spacing between components. Three versions are offered and can be used with a variety of optic holders and MT Series Linear and Rotation Stages.
