Newport's MBP Series Micro-Beam Profiler is a unique laser beam profiler that can also be used as a cost effective digital imaging device. This cooled CCD-based device was designed to facilitate the analysis of a beam with a small spot size for intensity profiles, beam shape and position, both pulsed and CW. The objective lenses offered with the system allow measurements in the range of 0.5 µm to 1.5 mm fields with working distances from 6 mm to 34 mm. The micro-beam analyzer covers the wavelength range of 350 nm to 1100 nm and power levels from µWatts to Watts achieved with removable ND filters. One objective lens comes with each product, and the optional objective lenses can be separately purchased and interchanged to achieve a variety of different magnifications. Features like optical zooming and built-in motorized zooming permit fast beam locating and focusing of micron size beam and features, such as viewing the beam transmission characteristics of photonic crystals. The powerful software and interfaces available in USB2.0 or PCI formats allow real-time viewing of beam images and data with record and playback features for post analysis.
