Take a closer look at Spectra Physics' new Mai Tai HP

Introduced in 1999, the Mai Tai® has been used for a variety of applications – ranging from general spectroscopy to multiphoton microscopy. With its leading performance specifications, most experienced support team, and largest installed base of any laser of its type, the Mai Tai is truly a cutting-edge tool for basic research and biological imaging. Ideal for multiphoton microscopy, the Mai Tai HP provides more than 300 nm (700-1020 nm) in useable tuning range with over 2.5 W of average power. Access to longer wavelengths alleviates the need for additional laser sources, which makes your laboratory complete all with one single laser system. Never before has this level of performance been available. The new Mai Tai HP meets all existing specifications outlined for the highly successful Mai Tai BB, but sets the new performance standards for output power, tuning range, and beam quality. The reliability of the Mai Tai HP is maintained using the ultra-stable regenerative mode locking technique made famous by the Spectra-Physics Tsunami® in 1991. Using this method, the Mai Tai HP is capable of hands-free, dropout free wavelength tuning, enabling speedy collection of excitation profiles all at the click of a mouse. In addition, the Mai Tai HP includes StabiLok® technology that provides real-time monitoring of the laser system and helps you maintain beam position, average power, and wavelength - making the Mai Tai HP the most reliable and most versatile ‘hands-free’ laser source available.

The Mai Tai HP Advantage
  • Highest output power (> 2.5 W) maximizes penetration depth in multiphoton imaging and allows for efficient use of multiple microscopes simultaneously
  • Widest tuning range ( 700 - 1020 nm) for efficient excitation of all commonly used fluorophores
  • Smooth tuning with no pulse dropouts
  • Outstanding pointing stability eliminates the need to realign experimental step-up
  • Rapid scanning capability ideal for two-color experiments
  • Most experienced service and support team in the industry
