The MS Series offers unmatched performance in an extremely small package. Ideal for applications where precision is required but space is limited. These micropositioners are provided in X, XY and XYZ configurations. Hardened precision rods are preloaded against a four corner hardened slider for smooth, wear-resistant motion. A return spring provides built-in preload to eliminate backlash. The unique carriage design eliminates wobble while providing an extremely robust stage. The MS-125 Series offers 0.125 in. (3.2 mm) travel for loads up to 0.55 lb (2.4 N), and in a slightly larger package, the MS-500 Series offers 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) travel for loads up to 0.75 lb (3.3 N). Both stages utilize a precision 80 TPI adjustment screw to provide unmatched resolution in stages of this size.
The knurled thumb grip can be added to MS-125 or MS-500 stages to enhance resolution and alternatively can be used as a locking nut. With the pinhole adaptor, apertures can be changed by replacing the entire adaptor or by removing and replacing the aperture only. A soft rubber washer can be used under the adaptor for slit aperture orientation. The headless adjusting screws replace a standard thumb screw while reducing the overall length of the stage by 0.4 and 0.5 in. (10.2 and 12.7 mm) (MS-125 and MS-500 respectively).A multi-position adaptor plate interfaces with standard optical tables and can provide additional footprint to free-standing stages. The objective adaptor allows mounting of standard microscope objectives to MS-500 stages.
