Ten mil diameter dots of silver filled conductive epoxy are quickly and routinely dispensed by the MRSI-175Ag for applications such as microwave modules. Precise epoxy control is necessary to control bond line thickness while achieving 100% coverage. |
Servo driven cartridge style pumps are used to quickly switch the MRSI-175Ag between epoxy dispensing and encapsulation applications. The MRSI-175Ag can be used for the complete range of applications just by changing a drop in pump cartridge. |
The MRSI-175Ag operates on Newport’s Windows Workcell software. The Workcell software is used by all Newport Advanced Packaging Assembly and Dispense equipment. The easy to use software provides excellent process control and extensive interchangeability with other Newport equipment. |

Height Sensing |
The MRSI-175Ag is the only dispenser with a substrate surface mapping ability through laser height sensing. The system uses the laser to sense height in three locations to determine the tilt of the surface on which material will be dispensed. An unlimited number of surfaces are mapped within a package. Surface mapping enables precise gap control during dispensing. This is especially valuable when dispensing on substrates that were manually mounted in a previous process. |
