Product Description
Designed for space-limited applications and compact multi-axis assemblies, MFN Series linear stages supply very high resolution, single-axis translation in a low-cost, motorized package. Typical applications for this stage are fiber optic alignment, laser diode research, and inspection systems.
A miniature DC or stepper motor, housed within the carriage of the stage, actuates motion via a backlash-compensated lead screw and nut system. Precision-ground, double-row ball bearings ensure accurate linear travel. To meet high positioning requirements, a motor-mounted rotary encoder delivers better than 0.1 mm resolution. End-of-run limit switches prevent bearing damage from accidental over-travel.
Components mount to the top surface of the stage via tapped mounting holes. Modular stage design facilitates easy assembly of MFN Series stages into multi-axis configurations.
