The 818-ST(/DB) and 818-ST-UV(/DB) low power wand detectors put all the performance of the popular 818-SL (silicon) and 818-UV (UV-enhanced silicon) detector into a narrow-profile, hand-held wand. Incorporating a large area 10 mm X 10 mm photodiode, these slim optical sensors are ideal for laser and other optical power measurements in tight locations with busy setups. It even provides a built-in calibrated OD3 attenuator at the flick of a button. The UV-enhanced detector is packaged in aluminum housing to avoid burning of plastic housing, resulting in potential damages on optics in the setup, especially in the UV wavelength range. The calibration module is detachable from the BNC connector, allowing interfacing with Newport meters, an oscilloscope, or a current meter as well. All detectors are shipped with a calibration report, whether the DB15 calibration module is included or not. The wand detectors are compatible with both English and metric post mounts. The 818-ST/DB and 818-ST-UV/DB models are directly compatible with 1916-C , 842-PE , 1918-C High-Performance Hand-Held Optical Power and Energy Meter, 1931/2931-C High-Performance Optical Power Meters, and 1936/2936-C Optical Power/Energy Meters, High Performance series power meters, which require a DB15 connector.
