New! Oriel Apex Sources with a Rear Reflector are now available. Potentially up to 60 % throughput improvement can be achieved as a portion of the backwards emitted radiation is captured to the output. Newports Apex Series of quartz tungsten halogen systems are "plug-and-play" sources of VIS-NIR radiation. These sources use an integrated housing - lamp, electronics and condensing optics in a single enclosure. The lamp is held in a pre-aligned mount, so there is no need for lamp adjustments. The power supply is pre-set to operate the specified lamp. You don't need to adjust the current or voltage. Simply install the lamp, turn the source on, and you're ready to begin working. These systems are ideal for Researchers or Systems Integrators who have fixed power applications (i.e. no need to adjust the lamp's power), and don't need the versatility of our modular systems.
