The ProLite® Multi-Bar Module (MBM) is a stack of high power semiconductor laser bars that provides an extremely compact source of very high intensity light. (Each laser bar is a linear array of multiple laser emitters fabricated on a single, monolithic substrate). Our proprietary water-cooling technology limits device operating temperature, and thereby enables this high power output to be achieved without sacrificing operating lifetime.
In addition to providing superior performance, the ProLite diode lasers are designed and manufactured for maximum reliability. We produce high quality products on a volume basis due to our total vertical integration within a single manufacturing facility. This allows us complete control over every aspect of the manufacturing process—from EPI growth through final packaging and testing.
Our ProLite series extends this reliability to higher powers. Extensive research in bonding and materials science, in-depth studies of facet damage mechanisms and ongoing improvements in material purity have all combined to yield long lifetime (over 20,000 hours at the rated power) in devices with 100 W of output.
The standard products listed here are representative of our capabilities; however, the majority of our products are designed and built to meet specific customer requirements. We utilize a variety of materials, including phosphorus-based material (commonly referred to as "Aluminum-free"), to provide the optimum combination of performance and price for each customer. |
