Spectra-Physics Excelsior® Scientific diode-pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers provide a robust source of low-power, continuous wave (CW) light at 473, 532, 561, and 1064 nm. Available in single-mode and multi-mode versions, these turnkey laser systems provide superior optical beam quality and exceptionally low optical noise, as well as minimal frequency jitter in single-mode versions.

Excelsior lasers employ a patented intra-cavity frequency-doubling technique to generate highly polarized visible light with an overall power consumption of <40 W, and exceptionally low optical noise for use in highly sensitive measurement setups. The DPSS laser design improves reliability and life expectancy, lowering the overall cost of ownership. An integrated active control system automatically locks output power over the entire operating temperature range for reliable power stability.

Excelsior Scientific lasers are available at 10 mW and 50 mW at 473 nm, and from 20 mW to 200 mW at 532 nm in multi-longitudinal-mode or single-mode configurations. The recently introduced 561 nm and 1064 nm single-frequency models are available at 20 mW and 50 mW, and 500 mW and 800 mW, respectively. All Excelsior Scientific models enable the user to adjust from 50 to 100% of nominal power.

Each Excelsior laser is available with a universal base plate that enables users to mount to Imperial and metric optical tables.

The Excelsior Scientific standalone power supplies accept input voltages ranging from 90 to 264 VAC and 50/60 Hz. For ease of use, the auto-ranging power supply eliminates DC converters, runs off regular wall current, and requires no external control loop to operate the laser. External control ports enable laser configuration using analog interfaces.
