These CE-compliant Intelligent Picomotor (iPico) modules are the result of a collaboration with Logosol, Inc., a leading motion-control company. Based upon the latest distributed-control network (DCN) interface technology, and with an available Windows-based dynamic-link library (DLL) and an easy-to-use mnemonic, motion-control-language (MCL) command set, these compact modules are easier to customize and integrate into your instrument, device, or setup.
Six-Axis iPico Driver Kit
Model 8766-KIT
In response to customer demand, were offering the Model 8766-KIT iPico kit that enables you to drive up to six Picomotor actuators simultaneously with a handpad or joystick. Just plug in the included power supply and your Picomotor actuator-equipped components, and youre ready to go.
The Model 8766-KIT-NF includes a network controller (Model 8752 ) and two 3-motor drivers (Models 8753NF ). In addition, the kit has a Model 8755NF power supply and all required mounting and interface cables to make installation easy. Even though the kit is configured out of the box for manual control with a handpad, you can easily configure it for computer control by using an Ethernet cable or, for RS-232 control, a null modem cable. To expand the kit for driving more Picomotor actuators, order the desired number of Model 8753NF iPico drivers and an equivalent number of Model 8760 assembly kits. Call us for more information on how to drive even more Picomotor actuator-driven products with additional driver models and accessories.
Three-Axis iPico Driver Kit
Model 8763-KIT
The Model 8763-KIT is equipped with a network controller and a driver for controlling up to three individual Picomotor actuators (and can be expanded by adding up to 30 Model 8753NF iPico driver modules).
It includes a Model 8752 Ethernet controller, a Model 8755NF power supply, and one Model 8753NF iPico driver. The kit also includes all required mounting and interface cables to make installation easy. It is ready for computer control by using an Ethernet cable or, for RS-232 control, a null modem cable. To expand this kit for driving more Picomotor actuators, order the desired number of Model 8753NF iPico drivers and an equivalent number of Model 8760 assembly kits. iPico Ethernet Controllers
Model 8752
The Model 8752 Intelligent Picomotor Ethernet controller provides extended functionality and a more powerful interface to users. It can accommodate up to 31 Model 8753NF iPico drivers or other iPico modules and can be controlled by a computerlocated anywhereusing standard TCP/IP client communication through Ethernet. Alternatively, it can be controlled via PC-based RS-232 serial interface. The Model 8754 joystick or Model 8757 handpad terminal can be used with this network controller for manual control of Picomotor actuator-driven products as well.
Motion-Control Language (MCL) commands can be sent to this device using standard applications such as Hyperterminal or Telnet, or by writing custom software in programming languages such as C/C++, VB, or LabVIEW. Drivers and software examples are available on our website.
iPico Driver
Model 8753NF
Each Model 8753NF iPico driver can control one of three 4-pin RJ-22 single-channel output ports for use with any single-channel Picomotor actuator at any given time. You can control the driver through the Model 8752 network controller (using MCL commands from a PC via Ethernet or RS-232), the Model 8754 joystick (using the resident firmware on the network controller), or directly from your own computer (using DLL functions and an RS-232 to RS-485 adapter). Standard RJ-45 connectors and cables are used to connect the driver to the controller or other DCN-compatible modules. The Model 8725 multi-axis adapter can be used to connect the 4-pin RJ-22 output ports on the drivers to New Focus Picomotor products with 6-pin RJ-11 connectors.
iPico Handpad
Model 8757
The Model 8757 iPico handpad terminal is a rugged and fully functional handheld terminal for controlling your Picomotor actuator-driven product. Every action that can be initiated or configured through the joystick or computer can be initiated using this handpad. The handpad is a perfect solution when you need to plug in and run a quick test of an iPico driver or want a straightforward handheld control terminal.
iPico Joystick
Model 8754
The Model 8754 is a multi-function two-axis joystick that provides user interface in stand alone or programming modes. The joystick module has four button inputs, eight LED outputs, and two 8-bit A/D counters for the joystick position. Standard RJ-45 connectors and cables connect the joystick to other DCN-compatible components.
