Most Oriel® instrumentation (Light Sources, Monochromators, Spectrographs) use a male/female flanging system. This "building block" approach lets you couple optical accessories at the input or output of these instruments. Many of these accessories also have 1/4-20 tapped holes for rod mounting. This is convenient for stand-alone use, or for long optical trains that require support. Here, we offer holders for flanged accessories that do not have tapped holes. These mounts hold 1.5 inch series accessories atop an optical rod.
Various Models Available
We offer 3 models of holders, differing in flange type and adjustment capability:
77648 Universal Flange Mount
The 77648 holds a male 1.5 Inch Series flanged component atop a 3.0 inch (76 mm) optical rod. The component is held by a single thumbscrew.
77647 Adjustable Universal Flange Mount
The 77647 is similar to the 77648 but has the added advantage of adjustment. You can tilt the male-flanged component in a 0.35 inch (9 mm) circle.
77809 X-Y Centering Flange Mount
The 77809 holds any 1.5 inch series male or female-flanged component atop a 2.0 inch (51 mm) long optical rod, and translates it along the X and Y axes, within a 0.35 inch (9 mm) diameter circle. Sensitivity is 0.8 µm; the clear aperture is 1.0 inch (25.4 mm).
