Superior high-energy polarizer performance is achieved through advanced coating design and meticulous production procedures. These optics have been developed for use in some of the most demanding lasers in the world. The polarizer coatings have been optimized for use with Nd:YAG lasers. When mounted at Brewster’s angle, extinction ratios exceed 100:1. High quality BK 7 substrates afford minimal wavefront distortion. Special attention to the manufacturing process results in polarizers with damage threshold exceeding 5 J/cm2. Angular tuning may be required to achieve maximum transmission. These high-power polarizers are rectangular, 14.3 x 28.6 mm.
