These High-Energy Laser Beam Expanders have a Galilean optical design to eliminate the possibility of focused retroreflections. Air-spaced optics with a choice of antireflection coatings withstand beam fluencies up to 8 J/cm2 at 1064 nm. Adjustable focus allows for collimation at a variety of wavelengths. The optical designs are optimized for three wavelengths, 532, 694.3, and 1064 nm, with wavefront quality better than l/10. A large entrance aperture accommodates input beams up to 3 mm (HB-20X) or 5 mm (HB-4X and HB-10X). The entrance optics are fabricated from fused silica to withstand higher energy. HB-4X features fused silica optics throughout and may be coated with AR.10 for UV applications on special request. The HB-4X can be mounted using our VB-1 or LP-2A mounts. The HB-10X and HB-20X can be mounted using our 605-4 mount.
