Model F-RFS
A Fiber Optic Scribe is a low cost fiber cleaving tool. A cleave is obtained by the scribe-and-pull method. Model F-RFS features a high quality 90° wedge shaped diamond tip, mounted on a stainless steel, retractable rod. This scribe is used primarily for removing optical fiber tips protruding from fiber optic connectors, prior to polishing the connectors endface. The pen-like protective housing includes a clip for easy storage in your shirt pocket.
Model F-CL1 fiber optic cleave features a wide carbide blade, allowing the cleaving of standard, as well as larger diameter fibers and miniature rod shaped lenses.
