Product Description
Our bistable electronic shutter employs a novel, patented design which requires no holding voltage or current to maintain the shutter in either the open or closed positions in normal operation. Since the shutter has only one moving part, the blade, it provides highly reliable performance and a service life of over 1 million operations. Pulses from 530 V drive the shuttera positive pulse to open, and a negative pulse to close. Transition times are dependent on pulse amplitude and can be less than 3 msec. The 5.6 mm aperture accommodates laser beams with up to 5 W CW incident power. You can postmount the shutter by using the SP Series post, a VPH Series post holder, and a B-2 base, all included. Our digital shutter controller provides precise on/off control for durations from 10 msec990 sec. A timed exposure can be initiated either from the front panel, through TTL compatible signals, or from the pushbutton cable. In the MANUAL mode, the shutter can be set opened to facilitate alignment or focusing. The RESET command, required before each actuation, prevents accidental opening and closes the shutter even during a timed opening. A 10 sec shutter opening delay can be activated as a ...

A 10 sec shutter opening delay can be activated as a convenience in holography, and other applications, when vibrations must die down before exposure. The 845HP shutter system includes the controller, a pushbutton cable, an 846HP shutter, and a base.
