DM-L Series Differential Micrometers provide sub-micron positioning combined with coarse travel up to 25 mm. The design incorporates a standard micrometer with a high-resolution micrometer built around it.
Coarse positioning, provided by the knob at the end of the micrometer, enables rapid translation with a sensitivity of 1 µm. The fine adjustment knob, closest to the positioner, allows ultra-fine positioning over 0.2 mm of travel, with 0.1 µm sensitivity.
The DM-L Series is the first actuator where both coarse and fine travel can be locked with a single knob. The novel locking mechanism clamps a non-threaded portion of the screw from all sides. This stress-balanced design secures the position with negligible displacement during locking.
