These reflector assemblies focus or image a source onto or from a monochromator. Their focal lengths are matched to our 1/8 and 1/4 m monochromators and spectrographs. The assemblies are a borosilicate glass substrate coated with AlMgF2, cemented to a mirror mount. A 3.0 inch (76 mm) long optical rod is included.
The Reflector Advantage
Reflectors have no chromatic aberration and no transmission limitations. Our Cornerstone and MS257TM families of Monochromators and Spectrographs have multiple grating turrets so you can continuously scan from the UV through the IR; these reflectors extend that capability outside the monochromator.
Two Types of Reflector Assemblies
We offer two types of reflector assemblies, but three models are available.
- Reflectors for Collimated Beams
- Model 7292 for 1/8 m monochromators
- Model 7290 for 1/4 m monochromators
- Reflector for Source Imaging
- Model 7295 for any monochromator
Reflectors for Collimated Beams
These reflectors focus the collimated beam from a light source onto the entrance slit of a monochromator, or, collimate the diverging output from a monochromator. The large surface area accepts the output from our 1.5 Inch Series Sources (1.3 inches in diameter).
Reflector for Source Imaging
This reflector images a source onto the entrance slit of an 1/8 or 1/4 m monochromator, or, images the monochromator output slit onto a detector or sample.
