Newport's Colored-Glass Alternative Filters have been developed for applications where colored-glass filters have been commonly used. These filters are RoHS compliant without relying on the 4-year exemption issued for some colored-glass filters. The filters are manufactured using all-dielectric thin-film designs featuring Newport's patented Stabilife^® coating technology, which produces highly dense, virtually indestructible films. The resulting filters exhibit lower autofluorescence and have higher resistance to harsh environmental conditions than many colored-glass filters.
