These mounts only look conventional. The combination of our proprietary precision screws and bushings, sapphire seats, and extra thick frames gives you superior stability and precise repeatable adjustment. We offer these mounts in a platform version and with a wide range of optic mounting apertures for 1/2, 1, 2 in, or 30 mm optic diameters and in either the center- or corner-mount design. Note that model 9852 is also able to hold optics as thin as 1 mm. In the corner mount design, the optic is located at the fourth corner of the square formed with the three adjustment screws. In this configuration, you get tilt, tilt without translation, and pure translationall in a single mount. For pure translation, simply turn all knobs the same amount. (A 1° error in one knob results in only 0.0012° tilt in the face plate.) For tilt without translation, use two knobs, or for applications when translation is less important, adjust the tilt with just one knob. Our Pint-sized mounts are half the size of our Standard Classic mounts, yet they provide the same high level of performance youve come to count on. With 1/2 in. and 1 in. beam heights and 8-32 (M4) mounting holes, these anodized-aluminum mounts are completely compatible with all the other mounts, posts, and pedestals you already own. These sturdy mounts include stiff springs for stability, sapphire seats for durability and precision, and 80-pitch brass nuts for better resolution than other small mounts.
