The 760 Series Laser Diode Mounts are designed to provide air-cooling for medium power laser diodes. Open package C-type, TO-3, and High Heat Load (JDSU’s P-1/2/3 packages, Coherent’s H-type, and High-Power Device’s H-type) packages are accommodated.
Up to 5 W thermal loads are dissipated in still air while fan cooling increases the dissipation capabilities of the mount. This heat load translates to between 1.5–2 W of optical output power from the laser diode depending upon its conversion efficiency.
Each mount comes with all the necessary hardware to secure and make electrical connections to the laser diode. Standard connectors on the rear plate allow easy connection to Newport’s low power laser diode drivers and temperature controllers.
The mounts can be used with a post and base for tabletop experiments. A truncated cylinder design prevents the mount from rolling, allowing direct mounting to a breadboard for OEM applications.
