Model 66295 1000 W QTH Source.
Choose one of these sources if you need broadband, high intensity, large area illumination. They have 5 to 6X the total output of our 50 - 250 W Quartz Tungsten Halogen Research Sources100 W QTH Sources, and the same smoothly varying blackbody-like spectrum. The output is a 2 or 2.7-inch (48 or 69 mm) diameter "quasi-collimated" beam. Several user features distinguish this family of QTH Sources from our Simplicity Series:Switch between 600 W, 1000 W standard, and 1000 W FEL by simply changing socket adapters (you dont need a new housing or power supply)Remotely program and monitor the lamps operation via PC Monitor lamps usage in accumulated hoursMate the Light Intensity Control System to these sources for stability critical applications

These lamps become extremely hot even after short periods of operation; they require a safe, temperature-controlled enclosure. Our housings provide the proper environment for these lamps. A rear reflector collects the lamp's back radiation and focuses it near the lamp filament, for collection and collimation by the condensing lens assembly. External lamp and reflector adjustments let you position the filament and its image for maximum output.
The 69935 is a constant current and constant power source for 600 and 1000 W QTH lamps. It has excellent stability and smart features. Preset and monitor the lamp's current, voltage, wattage and operating hours from the power supply's front panel or remotely via a PC. The 69935 includes an RS-232 interface; an IEEE 488 (GPIB) interface is optional.

We offer an F/1 and an F/0.7 source. If you're going to refocus the beam, we suggest that you choose the source with F/0.7 condenser, for highest beam quality. This four-element computer designed condenser (we call it an Aspherab® Condenser) results in a smaller energy spread than the two element F/1 condenser.
These housings mount to inch or metric optical tables; the optical axis height is 7.5 inches (191 mm) above the table surface.

QTH Lamps emit down to 240 nm. In these high wattages, the ultraviolet radiation is hazardous. Always wear Ultraviolet Safety Equipment when operating these sources. Re-focused output from these sources can cause ignition of flammable targets.
